Enduro Mountain Bike Training’s mission is to help our clients achieve their riding goals as efficiently as possible. Our program is based on a performance pyramid that breaks down bad habits and incorrect movement patterns to create a strong foundation. We then rebuild our clients from the ground up on this framework, helping them maximize their power, endurance, injury prevention, and recovery.
We all know that we need power in order to become the best enduro riders. But, unlike many in the cycling community, we believe that you cannot build power by focusing on “on-bike” training only and avoiding the gym.
Power is defined as “the ability to express strength with speed.” In order to create strength, you need a body that is optimally stable and mobile, and you cannot create that until you have resolved your body’s weaknesses, joint stiffness, muscle tightness, and posture.
Most people have accumulated a number of flexibility and stability issues over their lifetimes due to injuries, repetitive stress, and trauma. Our programs begin by identifying these issues and resolving these limitations via stretching and corrective exercises.
The second phase of our programs reeducate your body using the newfound freedom and better posture pattern gained during the first phase. We help our clients learn the most effective movement patterns so they can build strength throughout their entire range of motions.
Now comes strength. Once you are healthy and moving the way you’re meant to, we layer on exercises that challenge your muscle system, balance, coordination, and even your nervous system.
Finally, power. This is where we have the most fun with your training. We’ll push you to another level to get the most horsepower possible.
